We use our resources to fund vital community initiatives, support nonprofit organizations, and assist individuals with charitable giving. El Pomar Foundation makes grants to nonprofit organizations in the state of Colorado. El Pomar is a general purpose foundation, which means the trustees approve grants across a broad spectrum of focus areas, including: arts and culture, civic and community initiatives, education, health, and human services. Service Area: Colorado
Beginning in 2012, assets will be distributed to other charitable entities where Johnson Family members will continue to be involved in the grant-making process. Grant making will continue for current grantees through the end of 2011. However, because of the coming changes, proposals will only be considered from organizations the Foundation has previously funded.
Supporting the positive development of children through grants and partnerships with other sectors of our community. Ages 0-5. Service Area: Colorado
TGYS is a statutory program intended to provide funding to local organizations that target youth and their families with programs designed to reduce youth crime and violence. In addition, the TGYS Program focuses on funding programs that prevent or reduce child abuse and neglect. TGYS is within the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
